OK friends, you asked for it, now deal with it!
Here you can see the Berlinale Palast, usually as far as I know not a cinema but a huge musical theatre.

There was also a red carpet today, Andie MacDowell was so kind smiling towards my camera.
On the 13th in the evening we are going to see The Midnight After. Director Fruit Chan. Actors Wong You Nam, Simon Yam, Kara Hui, ... .

Fellow fans...as you can see Heike is the technical one of this Berlin duo. I just stand back and admire her at work. I could manage help carry a bag but shes so capable im redundant.
It's great being in Berlin again our first day went well.
Thank you to everyone for your kind words and warm wishes for our time here...Operation Berlin 2014 has begun day one over already.
Best wishes....Mary |

Glad you like the pics!
Today we had a little ... stalking experience , bumped into Tony but no pics it happened too quick. Was nice to see him again though.
After that we went a little sightseeing.
The Groepius building and rests of the wall.
The Brandenburger Tor
And us at the red carpet, look for the orange cap, that`s me Mary is the one on my left. The photo is taken from a big screen.
At 9.30pm was the red carpet for "Bai Ri Yan Huo", with the help of Mary I`m the proud owner of Guei Lun Mei`s and
Liao Fan`s autograph. Thanks again Mary!
We will be watching "The Midnight After" tomorrow, sorry I got a bit confused yesterday.
If there is any misspelling, blame it on ... the lack of sleep.
Now I`ve got to get a looong hot shower, the wind is really nasty cold and get some sleep. _________________ Water which is too pure has no fish. |

I'm glad you like the pics Yitian!
I said 'hi' to Tony, don't think he recognized me. It's not that important anyway was just nice to see him again. _________________ Water which is too pure has no fish. |

Hi ..yes...we are lucky girls, Berlin is great.
As Heike wrote, we bumped into Tony very briefly. He passed focused on where he was going (of course he's busy in Berlin). Heike said Hi Tony and he kindly replied back i just gave a wee wave which he may not have seen, it all happened so quick. Im slower thinking than Heike who is capable in every situation. Tony looked well and it was nice seeing him however briefly. Think Heike is right in saying he didn't recognise this pair of stalkers (haha).
After that excitement we did some sightseeing as you can see from Heikes photos. We were lucky we had sunshine but at times it was very cold a strong wind blows in Berlin. Think Tony may have felt it today as he was well wrapped up when we saw him bet he's missing Hong Kong temperatures.
Then onto the Red Carpet which was fun spotting the celebs so far we have done well. With a little teamwork organised by Heike I got autographs and she got impressive photos. We also saw Jennifer Connolly and Irish actor Cillian Murphy.
For fun and good memories Heike took the photo of us in the crowds we were famous for a while up on the Berlinale main show screen...doesn't get better than that.
2nd day in Berlin now over a busy day. We now look forward to tomorrow and seeing the Simon Yam movie.
Best wishes....Mary |

Thank you very much both of you for more pictures and the report.
You two were lucky to bump into Tony. You should have said "Nice to see you In Berlin AGAIN !" Ha ha ha
BTW, Lun Mei is a real professional ! How could she look like she didn't mind the cold wind at all with the dress like that !
Well this may be a necessary ability for all the actresses attending Berlinale.
I would love to hear more about your days in Berlin. |
