I just got Chungking Express Criterion Edition and I love it. It is much better than my old edition (from Tarantino's Rolling Thunder distribution company) and just the fact that Tarantino's face is not there is a vast improvement.
If you can, get it. You won't regret it.

Hi,
thanks for the tip. First time I've seen Chungking Express on the public TV and Tarantino was nowhere in sight. Second and third time on youtube, with english subtitles.
A beautiful, poetic film, it worth to buy the CD.

CE is a delight to the senses... very iconic Kar-Wai.
The way TL is 'introduced' into the film- that scene where he emerges from the background- is great transition and brilliant cinema. |
