I`m leaving tomorrow evening. So, I can give you one last candy (for Helga: Zuckerl )
I felt a bit better this morning, it seems the temperature was gone also my gut felt much better and the forecast was good, so I wanted to do that what I couldn`t do much in the last 3 weeks. HIKING
At first I wanted to go to Yau Tong and up Devil`s Peak to continue Wilson Trail Stage 3 for just a bit. Going up that hill towards Devil`s Peak I thought, "hey there is more in it then just a bit, I can do it all".
At first it was still quite foggy. You could feel the humidity. That`s Devil`s Peak on the left in the fog.
Creatures along the way
Nice colors
Aaall the way up ...it was quite a workout. Especially for someone who wasn`t 100% fit.
A tiny lizzard sunbathing on the stonesteps.
Aaall the way down. That`s what I call jungle.
"Art" along the way. In the middle of the woods.
A big turtle
And last but not least: A red dragonfly for Yitian
Along the way I`ve met a local. He spoke english so we had a little chat. He told me that he lives in this area and does this hike regularly but not for the last three weeks, because the weather was not suitable for hiking. Of course I agreed. I really hope the weather will be a bit better next time. This time I didn`t even once use the aircon.
I`ll leave tomorrow at 17.30. Let`s hope Air China has no delay.
That`s it then, I`ll let you know when I`m in the colder region again. Forecast says snow for sunday. Please come on! _________________ Water which is too pure has no fish. |

Just to let you know, I'm back home in the cold again.
And whatever I've caught (I mentioned that last wednesday) I've still got it. I've got temperature of 39 degrees and a toilet can't be far away. That was fun on the plane.
When I feel better I'll write some more and post pics from friday. _________________ Water which is too pure has no fish. |

Glad you arrived home safely, but so sorry to learn your health condition got worse . Hope you will go see a doctor, keep hydrated and take everything else easy. Rest well and let your own immune defense system to kick in sooner .
Take care and have a speedy recovery. Don't worry about posting and doing anything else for a while . |

OMG, I almost forgot to post my last pics.
I hope you are all OK and look forward to a hopefully warm sumer.
My last day in HK was rainy at first but the visibility was good after a big shower.
I`d say the best during my whole stay.
Now that`s all for this time.

Hello Helga!
Thank you, the area where I live is not affected by those terrible floods. The weather is crazy here, rain, rain and more rain. On sunday I`ll have a 10.5k race in Augsburg and hope the weather will behave. Forecast says thunderstorms
I`m glad you like my pics - again.
Have a pleasant weekend. _________________ Water which is too pure has no fish. |

CONGRATS, Heike ...very well done !
It's an amazing improvement. You obviously practiced very hard and busy since last year's run. Maybe the " HK - training " was helpful also
Hope you'll have a long and recovering sleep tonight. |

Thank you Helga!
Running in HK`s humidity for sure wasn`t useless.
I did a run on this level at the end of last year, then you might remember the nasty cold I had around the Berlinale? That was a huge set back regarding my training, it affected my health a lot. Seems I`m back at least mentally, I will have sore muscles tomorrow for sure. I couldn`t run on this level this year in none of my training runs.
I`m celebrating a bit with a nice cool strawberry punch (Erdbeerbowle) it tastes so good, you`d like to take a bath in it.
Also to you a good night.

Ohhhh, it seems I've been missing a lot here. . Life has been super busy, hopefully it will be under control soon.....
Thanks very much for the beautiful pix - agree with Helga, the first one is so pretty with the clear view . Also congrats for the good result of the race - a well deserved rest. Take care |
