Hello friends!
It`s raining nearly all morning which gives me the opportunity to listen to some CDs I`ve bought and of course to take you with me on my little adventure.
There you can see Sok Kwu Wan in the southern part of Lamma Island. Lamma Island is a nice and quiet place and the prices for a room or even a flat are affordable, compared to HK Island or Kowloon.
On Tuesday I went to Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Garden. Lovely places to relax.
I`m not really satisfied with the fotos, but light conditions were quite bad.
HK Island

Glad you like the pics.
I gladly take you with me on this precious time here in the city I love so much.
Helga: Regarding the pics, the sky is too bright, even the filter I`ve bought can`t handle this brightness. And if I change the settings of my camera, other objects will appear too dark. grrr
There would be another solution with another filter, but then I`ll have to carry a tripod with me all the time. Trust me, with 94% humidity I surely won`t do that! My photo equipment (several kgs) is enough.
Anyway, maybe later more from today. _________________ Water which is too pure has no fish. |

This is the "Miss You Much Leslie" exhibition in Times Square.
I visited this place before I met the one who arranged the meeting in Berlin in person.
Thanks again to the two of you, I had a great time!
The Temple Street Night Market area.
Avenue of Stars.
And something you all might be waiting for ...
As you can see in this photo, visibility was very low today.
Beautiful Lamma ferry pier at night.
... enjoy ...

Thank you for all the nice photos, Heike.
Familiar places and the place I haven't been.
I always found it very difficult to take good photos in HK with my small camera, so yours are excellent.
Looking forward to seeing more of the nice photos.
Enjoy your favorite place HK. |

Hello Heike
Most places are familiar to me ....and it is a joy to remember
Although the weather seems a bit cloudy/rainy....your fotos are very nice....and express a special HK-atmosphere. (There´s not always sunshine ! )
Glad to hear you had the chance to visit Leslie´s "Miss you much" - exhibition.....and you did spend some nice hours with our dear HK- fellow fans
Already curious about your next expeditions
Take care ! |

Great photos Heike!! I'm embarrassed to say I haven't been to about 80% of those places. I never travel past 5 MTR stops when I go out. HAHA.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation! |

Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures! I wish I could live in that beautiful garden! Lol! (Isn't Lamma Island where Chow Yun-Fat was born?) _________________ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx |

Hey everybody!
I`m glad you all like the photos.
Yitian: I`m not a skilled photographer , most of the time I just convince my camera to do what I expect.
Jenny: Maybe one day the both of us should spend some time in HK together.
Jamaica: Correct, Chow Yun Fat was born on Lamma. _________________ Water which is too pure has no fish. |

OK, let`s continue our little journey.
Staurday, Tina was so kind to take me to some shooting places.
In Tina`s previous post you can find some the places we`ve visited and how you can get there.
http://www.tonyleung.info/phpArchives/viewtopic.php?t=6489
Old style road in Central. I love those places.
I forgot the name of this road, I`m sure you can help me out Tina.
Thank you again Tina for showing me to all this places, I really enjoyed it a lot! And thank you also for patiently answering my countless questions about the cantonese language and chinese characters!
Repulse Bay, always a nice place to visit.
We wanted to go to The Verandah for high tea, but unfortunately it was closed because of an event.
Today I went to Po Fok Hill in Sha Tin to visit Leslie Cheung`s memorial tab.
I never get tired of this view. This time I went to the Ocean Terminal car park to have a better/different view over Victoria Harbour.
That`s it for today.
