Hi, ashley

I've been to Malacca a long time ago. I don't know if it's changed a lot now?
Probably if it remained as a historical town, not changed so much.

I think KL changed a lot in last 10 years, Tokyo also changed a lot since I left.

I'd love to join makan session, if I have a chance to go to KL. Very Happy

purple,

So you are also SUSHI lover ?
Of course I like SUSHI, but I also like south east asian food like Malaysian, Thai, and Chinese including regional specialities very much. (Actually I like any food which is tasty. Yummy love )

Me too! I love all those and more...Malaysians love to eat and we are passionate about food especially Malaysian food (which is a mixture of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Nyonya, Portugese, etc). We love to talk about food too! Hehehe.

I think some of the Malaysian towns are more like old HK than HK now.

Yes, the old towns are as though frozen in time and like old HK...also, we are both former British colonies.

As I've not been to Malacca until quite recent.. so I dunno if it has changed much. I believe it has, but mostly well-maintained, esp the historical sites. I love that "ancient" feeling the town gives me Smile I think it's a town with character hehe.. cheers

Yes KL has indeed changed a lot. I suppose this is what happens to the big cities. Just like what Tony said about HK in the interview.. that the pre-1997 buildings/places don't exist now and they only remain in his heart.. ooo such a sentimental feeling.. Boo hoo!

Do come to KL.. it would be fun having big "makan" sessions together Very Happy Food tastes better in a company of friends esp food-lovers Wink In fact this whole SUSHI thing has gotten so much into me that I'm dragging my friend for Japanese buffet tonight Laughing Dancing

Thanks purple and ashley again.

Perhaps we can talk about our favorite food for hours if we have a chance to meet. Very Happy

By the way, after I have been ponding for some time, I rememberd another thing Tony said in Yokohama.

When Tony was asked about Takeshi Kaneshiro, and working with him.

Tony said "I am not a talkative person myself, and Takeshi is also not talkative, so we didn't really have much conversation, but we can work together very well, once got started."

(So I think they could understand each other by looking at them talking to other people. There weren't so much direct communication, and still they found each other interesting. Perhaps this is a different way of communication, and it seems to be work well.)

Over all, because Tony was standing in the space between the screen and seats (not on the stage) and very near the audience in Yokohama, and only few press people there, I felt Tony was talking to us rather than interviewed.

Well well this have become the foods exchange ideas session. LOL

It seems most of us looovee to eat and explore new foods. If I were to visit Japan, I will definitely go Tsukiji and taste the fresh seafood there.
In fact I just had Japanese dinner last night. hehehe.

I always take it that he is talking to me when I watched or read his interviews. Wink Very Happy

As for his understanding towards Takeshi, its just like our understanding towards your feeling when you meet Tony and we could feel it. Laughing Smile

Hi, karen

I know we should write more about Tony. Embarassed
but Tony looked so happy when he was talking about SUSHI. Very Happy

I had to smile and was nodding when he said "I am not a talkative person." in Yokohama.
I thought "We all know that, Tony." and felt he was more like Tony himself talking to some friends then. Wink

He was more like an actor Tony Leung in Tokyo and looked more confident. Very Happy

Eri, thanks for taking the time out to write the encounter and shared your meeting with us. I'm glad Tony returns and hope his schedule permits him to return to Japan more often.

Have a good day!

hello again, summertime

>I walked around Ginza too - a really nice area.

I used to work at a place very near the cinema Tony visited in Tokyo, and the buildings around there changed a little, but I was very happy to see Tony in a familiar place. Very Happy

hello news,

I also hope Tony can spend more time in Japan, next time.

Actually MC said in Tokyo "This is Off-Record (not confirmed), but Tony is probably coming back in later this year" just before Tony left the stage.
So all the audience was going "Wa~o, Tony is coming back so soon." Shocked

Unfortunately, there must be some misunderstanding between MC and some other staff. Tony said he is going to be too busy this year and coming back next year. Rolling Eyes
