　9月10日，劉嘉玲的父親在大浪灣游泳後的衝涼過程中忽然暈倒，被人發現後立即叫救護車前往現場。不幸的是，劉嘉玲的父親在救護車趕到之前已經過世了，具體原因還不清楚。據個別記者說，當天曾看到劉嘉玲和她的母親到大浪灣一帶。隨即，澤東電影有限公司向媒體發表聲明，聲明內容如下：

　　劉嘉玲小姐的父親昨日於香港過世。對於這個令人遺憾的消息，嘉玲表示，父親往生讓她和家人心情很低落，但還是非常謝謝各界朋友和媒體朋友的關心與慰問。現在她的家人們都在協助處理後事相關事宜，請各位勿掛念。也希望各界朋友、媒體朋友們都能多多體諒家屬的心情，保留給他們一點私人的空間。謝謝大家。

Carina's father passed away on 10 Sept. He was found in a coma in a public toilet in a beach in Sai Kung. By the time, he was sent to the hospital, he already gone. It was reported that Carina's parents were having a walk at the beach. Carina's father went to the washroom, while Carina's mother was waiting. She waited for quite some time before she sought help of staff to look for her husband, and he was found in a coma in the washroom. The family was caught by surprised of his sudden death as he was in good health all along.

Carina responded via Jettone, saying that the family was upset by the sudden death of her father. She thanked media and friends' for their concerns. The family is busy making arrangements of the funeral. She hoped the media could give them some peace and privacy in handling this matter.

There have been a lot of loss for Tony and Carina recently. My heart gose out to their whole family. To lose a parent at any age is devistating. I give my sincier condolences. You are always in my preyers.

踏入農曆閨七月，特別不利娛圈人，繼蝦叔關海山病逝後，在電視劇《義不容情》中，飾演蝦叔女兒的劉嘉玲，其生父亦於大浪灣暴斃，認真邪門。

據知這趟父親突然離世，一度令劉嘉玲情緒崩潰，而身為男友的梁朝偉，為開解女友及了卻劉父生前未了心願，願意以女婿身份協助辦理喪事。日前，偉仔就一身素服，挽一雙白鞋，步出住所大廈，隨即唸唸有詞！有玄學高人指出，偉仔很可能是按白龍王指示，為猝死的劉父進行招魂唸咒，引領他回家，一盡為人女婿的孝心……

At least we know he is fine.

Well, he looks OK in the pic. But he is very generous to attend the funeral as the son in law. How lucky of Carina to have someone so supportive and caring as a partner.

Yesterday was the funeral rites of Mr. Lau. Many of Carina's friends from the entertainment industry came to pay their respects, including Margie Tsang Wah Sin, Sandra Ng Kwan Yu, Leon Lai Ming, Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Nat Chan Bak Cheung, Cecilia Wong Hang Sau, Tang Kong Wing, etc.

Tony Leung Chiu Wai was present and along with Carina's mother, took care of the funeral proceedings. Tony's mother also came to pay respects.

The funeral hall was decorated with many fresh white flowers, including many wreaths and baskets sent by Carina's good friends. To avoid any chaos, Carina employed 20 security guards and had 2 separate spaces for reporters. Outside, there were a dozen policemen on alert.

At 3pm, Tony appeared with Carina and escorted her out of the car. When Carina appeared before her father's casket, she held on tightly to her mother and Carina looked tired and much thinner. Tony stayed by Carina's side throughout the whole time, but whenever a family relative appeared, Carina would start crying. Nevertheless she held back her sadness and paid respect to her father's remains.

Mr. Lau's body will be cremated and Tony, long regarded as part of Carina's family, will be responsible for giving the eulogy at the ceremony.
